For galas and fundraising events

A silent auction that works the room for you.

Guests bid from their phones between courses, get an outbid text before dessert, and pay without a checkout line at the end of the night.

What gets easier.

The parts of auction season that take the most volunteer hours.

Crowded bid tables

Guests won’t queue to read a clipboard. On their phones they can browse every item from their seat.

Last-second sniping

Soft close adds time when a late bid comes in, so the item goes to whoever wants it most.

The checkout line

Winners pay with the card they saved when they registered, so the night ends on a high note.

Built in.

The tools behind every CausIO auction.

Open bidding before the night

Start online a week early so guests arrive already invested, then close during the event.

Soft close, pause and extend

Add time when bidding is hot, pause if plans change, and every time shows in your time zone.

Live totals

Watch bids come in, item by item, from the organization portal.

QR codes

Print a QR code for the tables, or one for each item that opens it directly.

Last-call texts

Schedule “10 minutes left” to every bidder. It follows the real close time, even after an extension.

Sponsors on display

Thank your sponsors by level right on the bidder page.

Tickets and check-in

Sell tickets online, check guests in with a QR code, and save their card at the door.

Tables and seating

Seat guests on a floor plan, email them their table, and print the seating chart.

Live auction and paddle raise

A clerk page and spotter view for the live auction, Fund-a-Need, and live totals on the big screen.

How it works.

  1. 1Load items and sponsors, and set your start and close times.
  2. 2Put the QR code on tables, programs and the screen.
  3. 3Guests bid from their seats. Outbid texts keep them in the game.
  4. 4Close on stage. Winners are charged and receipts go out by email.

Questions, answered.

What happens if two people bid in the last seconds?

With soft close on, a bid near the end adds time to the clock, so the other bidder gets a fair chance to respond.

Do bidders need to download an app?

No. Bidders open a link or scan a QR code and bid in their phone’s browser. They sign in with a one-time email link, so there is no password to forget. They can also bid by text message.

Can we close the auction ourselves on stage?

Yes. Choose manual timing and the auction stays open until someone on your team presses End auction.

How much does CausIO cost?

Qualified nonprofits have no monthly plan: they pay a $200 entry fee and 5% of what each auction raises, or one yearly price with no platform fee. Other organizations pick a plan from $49 a month plus a 1.5% to 3% platform fee. Stripe’s standard processing fees apply, and funds go straight to your own Stripe account.
